Questions on Antioxidant Collagen Jelly
A: Our collagen has gone through multiple processes of distillation, purification, detoxification to ensure its safety. Finally, we will check for any heavy metals presence before using it for production. Please check the test results for heavy metals presence done by an independent accredited lab in Malaysia. (appendix B1)
A: The collagen utilized in this product is extracted from fish skin and scales, belonging to collagen type I.
A: About 2000mg – 3000mg is sufficient to see improvement in your skin. Therefore, we recommended taking 2 sachets daily of our product.
A: Yes, our collagen peptides are hydrolyzed so they can be easily absorbed by the body, as compared to gelatine which are huge molecules and cannot be absorbed by the body.
A: Our collagen has one of the lowest molecular weight of 680 Dalton in the market, which means it is readily absorbed by the body, compared to most products outside which is around 3000 Dalton. The smaller the molecule weight, the higher the bioavailability.
A: It is recommended to take two sachets every day. One in the morning and the other at night. It is fine to have it as snacks or consume it on an empty stomach.
A: We recommended not exceeding 5 sachets.
A: We recommend taking 2 sachets of collagen daily continuously for 2 months to see the best results.
A: The most important thing about health food is making sure to take the recommended daily dosage continuously. Since the constitution and skin condition can vary from person to person, the amount of time required to see the results for each person is different. The daily intake recommendation is 1 to 2 sachets for anyone below 40 and 2 to 3 sachets for anyone over 40.
A: There is only 11kCal in 1 sachet, so total 22kCal for the recommended daily intake of 2 sachets. Total sugars is only 1.5g per sachet, so it is safe for diabetics.
A: Bovine collagen is sourced from cow whereas porcine collagen is sourced from pigs. Fish (marine) collagen is has smaller particle size compared to other types of collagen. Smaller particle size means easier and faster uptake and transportation of the collagen peptides to the skin, bones and joints for the synthesis of new collagen. This means marine collagen has superior bioavailability over bovine or porcine types as it is absorbed 1.5 times more efficiently.
A: The main cause of uterine fibroids is due to estrogen where high levels of estrogen could stimulate the production of fibroids. The reason other collagen products may promote growth of fibroids is due to the addition of hormones especially estrogen which will help the skin look smoother and glowing in a shorter period of time. Our product uses only natural ingredients and we do not add in any hormones. Also, none of the ingredients contained in this product would stimulate estrogen secretion. Therefore, our jelly will not have this effect and is safe to consume.
A: Yes, it is as it does not contain any added hormones as mentioned earlier. The ingredients used are also safe for pregnant and breastfeeding mums.
A: Since it is a jelly product, it is not recommended for children below 3 years old to prevent choking.
A: So far there are no plant sources of collagen, and the ones available are only antioxidant boosters which help stimulate collagen production. Our product contains both marine-source collagen itself plus a variety of antioxidants that help boost internal collagen production naturally.
A: Neither the ingredients utilized for this product nor the manufacturing process contains preservatives, GMO, and food coloring. However, it contains some flavorings.
A: Our patented fresh jelly possesses efficacy patent. It means that the jelly could retain high ingredient activity and minimize the degradation of active ingredients. This functional food is not only nutritious, but also delicious, compared to traditional form which may have fishy smell or taste. In addition, compared to traditional dosage forms, water-soluble ingredients promote more effective absorption.

Questions on Immunity Jelly
A: Yes, the synergistic effects of Beta-glucan and resveratrol on immune system have been studied and it is shown that when used it combination, there has been a significant improvement in the cells’ antibody response, phagocytic activity and expression of CD4 markers.
Reference: Vetvicka, V., & Vancikova, Z. (2010). Synergistic effects of glucan and resveratrol. African Journal of Biochemistry Research, 4(4), 105-110.
A: Resveratrol is a type of chemical (polyphenol) which is found in high concentrations in red wine, red grape skins and mulberries. It is an antioxidant which can help decrease pain and swelling, and can be used to treat hay fever and reduce allergy symptoms in adults with allergic rhinitis. It can also help to reduce risk of heart disease and reduce cholesterol.
A: The combination of ingredients in GUARD Immuno Jelly are design to provide a holistic protection against immunity. Most immune products contain ingredients that only specifically target a pathway of the immune system. But our immune system is complex and consists of a variety of white blood cells including neutrophils, eosinophils, lymphocytes, macrophages etc.
For Guard immune jelly, the perilla leaf helps inhibit histamine production by regulating the WBC neutrophils and eosinophils. Resveratrol can activate macrophages, T-cells and natural killer (NK) cells. Beta-glucan reduces viral activity and inhibit virus replication, whereas olive leaf extract is shown to inactivate influenza A virus and induce apoptosis in tumor cells.
In comparison, Shiruto’s formulation using wheat extract IP-PA1 is targeting activation of macrophages only.
A: Vitamin C is an important vitamin which can decrease inflammation, promotes growth and differentiation of lymphocytes and boost activities of phagocytes. However, the upper limit of consumption of Vitamin C is 2000mg / day, as too much Vitamin C can cause formation of kidney stones, as well as iron overload in the body, causing nerve damage.
Most of our daily diet will already provide sufficient intake of Vitamin C (fruits and vegetables), therefore it is not necessary to supplement with high doses of Vitamin C. The recommended daily intake for Vitamin C is 75-100mg daily. Guard Immuno Jelly contains 70g of Vitamin C per sachet which is sufficient for daily intake.
A: The product effectiveness could be determined by the frequency of catching colds, the time taken for the symptoms to be relieved, and even the amount of tissue used.
A: Yes, it is since this product does not contain any animal-derived ingredients
A: This product is designed to prevent colds and promote overall health. If you are currently experiencing flu symptoms, it can be taken in conjunction with the medication prescribed by your doctor to speed up the recovery time.
A: This product is composed of multiple ingredients which we recommend for long-term replenishment. It usually takes about 1 to 3 months for the entire immune system to improve.
A: Yes, it is. It could help relieve respiratory allergy, skin allergy, and hay fever symptoms.
A: Since this product contains olive fruit (containing Hydroxytyrosol), it is best to consult your doctor before consuming this product.
A: Since it is a jelly product, it is not recommended for children below 3 years old to prevent choking.
A: The daily intake recommendation is half a sachet for children aged between 4 to 12, 1 sachet for children aged 12 – 18, any 1-2 sachets daily for anyone above 18.
A: This product is free from preservatives, food coloring, and GMO. However, it contains a minute amount of flavorings.
A: Our patented fresh jelly possesses efficacy patent. It means that the jelly could retain high ingredient activity and minimize the degradation of active ingredients. This functional food is not only nutritious, but also delicious, compared to traditional supplement forms which may be hard to digest or swallow. In addition, compared to traditional dosage forms, water-soluble ingredients promote more effective absorption.
A: There is only 11kCal in 1 sachet, and 2.6g sugar per sachet, so it is safe for diabetics as it is way below the sugar limit for diabetics.
A: The product is HALAL and made in a HALAL certified factory in Taiwan, which is governed under THIDA in Taiwan. However, we have not obtained the official HALAL certification for our products.
Questions on Fenugreek Hot Chocolate
A: Yes! In fact fenugreek is very beneficial to men as it can improve testosterone levels and improve libido in men
A: Fenugreek is generally safe to consume and there is no specific upper limit. 2-3 sachets daily is generally very safe.
A: Fenugreek seeds are very bitter on its own and not pleasant to taste. Therefore, we extract the active compounds from fenugreek seeds to make fenugreek seed extract and combine with hot chocolate to mask the bitterness of it – giving you the best of both worlds (great benefit and great taste!)
A: Yes it is.
Omega-3 Fish oil
A: Our formulation has high concentration of EPA and DHA which is targeted at adult consumption only. Children are advised to take lower amounts of EPA and DHA from child-friendly formulations.
A: The global recommendations for EPA and DHA intake vary globally but generally, WHO and AH recommended the following:
Children below 12 years: 100 – 200mg EPA + DHA/day
Children 12 to 18 years: 250mg EPA + DHA/day
General adult population: 500-600mg EPA + DHA /day

A: Omega-3 and Omega-6 are essential fatty acids, which means they cannot be manufactured by the body and can only be obtained from diet. Omega-9 is a non-essential fatty acid which is manufactured in our body.
A: Omega-3 and Omega-6 are essential fatty acids, which means they cannot be manufactured by the body and can only be obtained from diet. Omega-9 is a non-essential fatty acid which is manufactured in our body.
Omega-3 and Omega-9 are anti-inflammatory, whereas Omega-6 is pro-inflammatory. A health ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 is around 1:1 to 1:4, but most diets are around 1:15, which is why we need to supplement with more Omega-3.
A: Omega-3 (EPA & DHA) can be obtained from fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, king mackerel, sardines and anchovies. EPA & DHA help support heart and brain health. There is another Omega-3 called ALA which is derived from plants like chia seeds and walnuts, but its main function is to provide energy.
A: Yes, plant-based source of EPA and DHA can be sourced from algae oil. However, they are very expensive because of their limited quantities, and is not a sustainable source as they are the at the primary source of the food chain. Further, algae oil mostly only contain DHA but not EPA whereas the Omega-3 in fatty fish contain both EPA and DHA.
A: EPA is anti-inflammatory and can help in heart health, joint health and mood health. DHA is an important structural component of our brain and eyes and so is vital for the healthy maintenance of these 2 organs.
A: Cod liver oil has lower EPA & DHA compared to fish oil (3x less), but contains Vitamins A & D. However, cod liver oil may possess higher toxin levels since it is sourced from the liver. Secondly, cod liver oil is not suitable for pregnant women because too much Vitamin A can cause liver damage and birth defects.
A: Krill oil contains astaxanthin, which is a potent antioxidant. It is also at the lower part of the food chain, which means less toxins. However, due to this, it is also a subject of environmental concern as it is a non-sustainable source which can disrupt the marine food chain. It is also much more expensive compared to fish oil.
A: Fish oil contains Omega-3, whereas evening primrose oil contains Omega-6, specifically GLA which is anti-inflammatory (compared to Omega-6 AA, which is pro-inflammatory). Evening primrose oil can help with eczema, skin problems, and breast pain. They are therefore, entirely different products.
A: Choosing a safe fish oil source is very important. There are 3 things to consider when choosing a safe source of fish oil:
- The source of fish. Choose one that is derived from small fish such as sardines and anchovies due to their lower toxin levels
- Choose a brand that has gone through molecular distillation which removes toxins and impurities
- Choose a brand that has been certified by IFOS
A: IFOS (International Fish Oil Society) is an international and independent certification agency which tests Omega-3 supplements against the following standards:
- Active Ingredient Content – Does the product contain the amount and specific types of omega-3s the label says it should?
- Contaminants – Does the product contain unsafe levels of harmful chemicals?
- Stability – Is the product as fresh as possible, or has it gone bad (oxidized)?
A: When purchasing a fish oil supplement, it is not the total mg but the EPA and DHA mg that matters. Read the label carefully to see how much of the active ingredient you are getting. A low strength fish oil means that you are getting less of the active ingredient Omega-3, but more of fish fat. This is less desirable as taking in more fish fat and less Omega-3 might have adverse effects such as raising LDL levels.
A: We use EE form as the vast majority of clinical studies examining Omega-3 supplements are using EE form. The absorption rates of EE and TG are also similar when taken over a longer period of time, and EE has a better stability profile.
A: Yes it is.
